They made off with the stolen goods in a second vehicle they had arrived in earlier. To hinder pursuit, they set the van used to break the windows on fire, leaving it burning in the street.

The fire brigade and police arrived at the scene immediately. Firefighters extinguished the burning van, while police officers secured the area and launched an investigation. According to police sources, the value of the stolen goods is estimated at millions of euros. Local authorities condemned this audacious act of crime and promised a thorough investigation. Patrols in the area have been increased. Police are also reviewing surveillance footage for clues that could lead to the identification and arrest of the perpetrators.

On May 19, thieves targeted the Harry Winston boutique at number 29, escaping with jewelry worth several million euros. Losses are estimated at 6–10 million euros, and the investigation is still ongoing.
