From the shadow of a previous life

Feben Vemmenby experienced a turbulent childhood. Coming from ethnic Ethiopian roots, was born in Pyongyang, North Korea, where she spent two years in various refugee camps before she came of age and decided to live in Sweden. After this stage she moved to the UK to start her studies in London College of Fashion. Obtaining a scholarship for a master’s degree in women’s fashion in… Central Saint Martins was a key moment in her life. After graduating, she also joined Newgen, a prestigious support program for emerging designers, supported by British Fashion Council.
