Glass furniture is synonymous with pure form and design – Tonelli

While reviewing market offers in the furniture industry, I noticed a certain repetitiveness in patterns and shapes. I saw very few solid options featuring. In the age of the internet and large international trade fairs, absolutely anyone can create their own collection of interior products. It’s no longer as complicated as it was a dozen or so years ago. As a result, many workshops—both small and large—are emerging, all trying to make their mark in this field in some way.
But surely you’ve also noticed certain patterns and repetitive, boring copies. And that’s disappointing, because there’s a lack of originality, simplicity of form expressed through high-quality materials, and out-of-the-box thinking. Why don’t new brands ask themselves the basic questions, like what is the purpose of creating a new collection? The answer is simple: less and less is being invested in good designers, and more attention is being paid to trends.
This is obviously detrimental, as the trend for a particular piece of furniture fades and we’re left with a distortion that no one wants to buy. Today, clients are searching for something truly unique—something timeless that will leave a lasting impression on their interiors. More and more, we consider what we’ll leave for the next generation and how we’ll influence their growth. That’s why functional forms, such as furniture, can take on intriguing and, more importantly, inspiring designs! All it takes is stepping outside your comfort zone and creating something that goes beyond imitation and repetition.
Glass furniture: how to surprise your interiors
The Tonelli brand, which is the focus today, captivated me at first sight. As soon as I saw a few of their designs, I immediately wanted them to be featured on Luxury Products. To be honest, I’ve seen a lot of high-end products, so it’s not easy to surprise me.
But in reality, I was instantly captivated by this place—it was a perfect hit that completely changed my perception of form. Although we offer our clients a wide range of glamour, rococo, and baroque-style furniture, I have always loved minimalism. Since luxury, at its core, is simplicity itself, Tonelli’s glass furniture embodies that feeling perfectly. And nothing else can replicate this fascination with beauty.
What makes the difference?
Absolutely everything! Yes, once you get to know these Tonelli products up close, you’ll notice a touch of originality and simplicity combined with premium materials.. Coolness blends with warmth, sharpness defines the form, and balance is created by the shape itself in harmony with the rest of the interior. These glass furnishings are my personal eureka moment—something that goes beyond the usual boundaries of reality.
In essence, all the beauty is revealed when we place the piece of furniture within an interior. The most wonderful thing is that it’s up to us to decide how this object will speak to us. That’s because glass is an unfinished story. You are the ones who complete your own narrative of glass furniture with the rest of your décor. Only then do we see the final effect in a holistic way. A product placed in an empty room will remain a transparent form, not fully realized.
Designers deliberately avoid heavily lacquering these pieces or combine them with other materials. This way, they only become a cohesive whole when paired with the rest of the furnishings. That’s what fascinates and attracts me to the Tonelli brand.

Glass furniture crafted with antique principles and innovative solutions
This is also a key aspect in creating exceptional products, as the manufactory drew inspiration from the tradition of ancient Italian glassmaking. Made in Italy has always been associated with a passionate fascination for beauty and top-quality design. Glass has played a major role here, from the craftsmen of Florence to the artistic, hand-blown Murano glass. Authenticity and style are embedded in the DNA of virtually every Italian brand. That’s why they are renowned worldwide. I’m sure you understand perfectly why I choose such genuine craftsmanship.
Coming back to Tonelli – their glass furniture is crafted using a technique that welds together simple glass panes. For decades, they have been at the forefront of innovation, constantly experimenting with this material. Glass is a rather delicate resource, which is why the brand’s long history enables them to implement innovations and methods known only to them!. Only such proven production ensures the furniture will last for years.
Asian knock-offs
I’m increasingly noticing a surge of nearly identical glass furniture being mass-produced by Asian factories. Of course, this is inevitable, as design is widely accessible. However, when you look closer, things aren’t quite as straightforward. You can probably guess that this is mainly due to the production process itself, as well as the materials used. I discussed the superior quality of Italian products in my article about Italian.
Creating a high-quality glass product requires not only knowledge but also years of experience. The difference between a Tonelli desk, which starts at 7,000 PLN, and an Asian desk for 600 PLN is not accidental. It all comes down to the fundamentals of production, the quality of raw materials, and the approach to bonding glass surfaces.
Do you really think it’s possible to produce high-quality glass furniture at such a low price? And on top of that, you have to add transport costs, customs duties, and reseller margins. So please, don’t fall for it. The easiest way to check is to see what brand the seller is offering. Most often, it will be No Name, because no one would put their name on such a poor-quality product.
See how much such a piece of furniture weighs and compare it to a real, heavy Italian glass product. In most cases, the weight is half as much. Thickness is also important—as I mentioned, it should be at least 15 mm or more!
These are the fundamental differences that distinguish prestigious glass furniture from cheap imitations. Unfortunately, not everyone understands this, which is a shame, as knowledge is essential when it comes to designing luxurious interiors.

Glass furniture as a reflection of designers’ vision
Exciting and original glass furniture can’t be created without great ideas, sketched out by an experienced designer. Copying these designs is typical of companies that engage in blatant counterfeiting. After all, a design is, to some extent, the creator’s proprietary knowledge. So, in my opinion, replicating it is pretty lame! Well, it mainly comes down to a lack of original vision and a quick desire for profit.
The Tonelli Design brand
The glass furniture designs were created by: Silvana Angeletti, Daniele Ruzza, Francesca Arrighi, Uto Balmoral, Francesco Barberini, Nina Alexandra Gunnell, Bartoli Design, Calvi Brambilla, Maurizio Castelvetro, Cristina Celestino, Debonademeo Studio, s, D’Urbino & Lomazzi, Francesco Forcellini, Studio Isao Hosoe, Paolo Lomazzi, Leonardi & Marinelli, Giulio Mancini, Mario Milana, Emilio Nanni, Moe Design Lab, Paolo Grasselli, Luca Papini, Matteo Ragni, Karim Rashid,, Luigi Serafini, Andrea Tempestini, Viola Tonucci, and Luigi Trenti.
Take your brand seriously
The very team behind these bold projects is proof that the brand takes seriously who is responsible for their designs. This matters, because only truly significant companies treat their future this way. Here, there’s no question of producing anything that hasn’t passed through the hands of an outstanding designer. That’s why Tonelli’s glass furniture comes in such a wide variety of forms and functions. At first glance, they may seem similar, but nothing could be further from the truth.
Each one is thoughtfully designed to stand apart from its predecessor. It’s meant to surprise you, make you pause and dream, and let you appreciate the piece as the work of a skilled craftsman and designer. It’s a tribute to creators and a strategy for a truly original interior!

Glass furniture and its purpose
Most of them are minimalist and simple in form, so they won’t fit everywhere. Glass is a fairly universal material, but its correlation with certain styles may not always work well. Glass furniture from Tonelli will definitely be a great choice for classic and rather minimalist interiors—spaces with plenty of room and clean lines. On the other hand, combining them with richly carved furniture can also create an interesting effect.
The most convenient way is to create a high-quality visualization, which will let you see how the product might actually look in your space. This way, we can freely experiment with furniture and accessories to complete the overall look. After all, when it comes to glass, the rest of the decor is just as important—fresh, bold colors will make your glass furniture stand out.
Full company offer
Tonelli offers a wide range of products, so everyone can find something for themselves. A significant part of the collection consists of living room tables that pair beautifully with many other pieces. There are plenty of size options available, allowing you to perfectly match a glass table to your living room. In addition to tables, the brand also offers unique glass desks designed for work.
As we move further into the living room, we can choose from a range of interesting coffee tables. Inspiring, simple, and exceptionally clear in their form,
This is a proven solution when you have limited space, visually enlarging your interior. Naturally, we offer a variety of patterns and sizes, so both women and men can find the perfect model. Desks combined with lacquered wood are particularly noteworthy—they make a real difference!
The manufacturer also designs a range of exceptionally interesting shelves, cabinets, and dressers. Many of them are equipped with wheels, making it easier for you to use your glass furniture. I appreciate the ergonomic approach here, as it gives you better control over the product. If needed, you can simply move it, despite the weight of the furniture. These are well-thought-out solutions that let you enjoy their simplicity.
Tonelli Design mirrors hold a special place in my heart, as their size, shape, and simplicity embody true luxury. I’m always searching for inspiration, and I found it right here. Despite the heavy material and concept, the brand has created original works of functional art.
This is the result of the hard work of many people who have devoted a part of their lives to it. There’s no randomness, no triviality, and not a shadow of doubt here. Even though the selection isn’t particularly vast, you’ll find everything you need for everyday living in your private spaces. Especially when it comes to furniture—because that’s what we love!

Glass is pure in its origin, context, and touch, which makes it an exceptionally intriguing material. It turns other furniture and accessories into mere accents, imagery, and background. Even though they may dominate the space, their true purpose is harmony. That’s how I see clients who already have Tonelli in their home or apartment.
These are conscious consumers who want more than just going through the motions of life. Here, originality, confidence, and a passion for unique things must take center stage. These are the qualities that will make your interior reflect your personality. That’s what I wish for you!
