Arnstadt Kristall is a historic German manufactory specializing in the creation of lead crystal works of applied art. In 1947, master engraver Heinrich Arlt founded what is now a globally recognized company. is just one part of the range designed by our neighbor from across the western border.

Over the years, the brand has become one of the leading suppliers of exceptionally luxurious crystals to international salons.

Crystal tableware by Arnstadt Kristall – a bit of history

After World War II, Heinrich Arlt was relocated from the Czech Republic to the city of Arnstad in Germany. It was there that he honed his remarkable skills in Czech glass cutting and engraving. Over the years, the small family business grew into a medium-sized factory. The production of decorative and utility glass was gradually replaced by lead crystal. The first export destinations were Italy, the USA, and Canada. After 1970, during the GDR era, the company was nationalized, leaving its future development in the hands of the government and central planning.

During this period, Arnstadt receives numerous awards and distinctions. At the time of German reunification, the company is privatized once again and operates as Arnstadt Kristall GmbH.” Today, it is a world-class factory exporting its products to 50 countries. Everything is produced according to strict standards that have been the foundation of its strength for decades.

Crystal tableware – materials and finish

Crystal is distinguished by the addition of lead oxide. Its remarkable optical properties include a higher refractive index, giving it a distinctive brilliance—making it arguably even more beautiful than diamonds. All products are handmade. The crystal itself is blown and cut, containing 24% lead. This technique is reserved exclusively for the top players in the market, so not everyone can produce elegant crystals in this way.

This is how high-quality crystal tableware is made—durable, resistant to external factors, and strong enough to last for generations. Remember, this isn’t a flimsy product from Asia, but true German quality!

Crystal tableware – my set

Colors and shapes are a matter of taste—take a look at the products I’ve selected. Of all the collections, Rococo is the most table-oriented and luxurious. It’s massive and heavy, giving an armored impression, yet the engraver’s cuts add a sense of lightness. The Rococo collection is a tableware set made of crystal, gilded with 24-carat gold, which gives it an undeniably beautiful effect. The set includes an exquisite dessert plate with a diameter of 20 cm, as well as crystal dinner plates measuring 25 cm and 33 cm. The crystal fruit bowl has a diameter of 13 cm

Two-tiered gold-plated 2 crystal fruit goblets that look straight out of a movie or a fairy tale. They are truly unique. Their diameters are 17 and 20 cm, which seems just right for candies:) Vases for fresh flowers come in several sizes, including 30 and 34 cm. Trust us – they make an impression!

Of course, you can’t forget about drinkware and water vessels.. This is where you can really appreciate the engraver’s artistry and precision. Outstanding, top-tier German quality! There are also several smaller and larger pieces that make up the crystal tableware set. Personally, I’d like to highlight the glassware designed for serving alcohol. Whisky and wine glasses are pure poetry. The decanter itself can easily become the star of the table—just fill it with a fine spirit and let it shine!
