What kind of painting should you choose for a classic living room?

Today, a few words about accessories for traditional interiors… Not every new piece of furniture is designed in a modern or minimalist style. So let’s consider this: what kind of painting should you choose for a classic living room?
A few years ago, we introduced the Italian brand Ceramiche Sonda to our market. This family-run manufactory produces luxurious decorative and functional ceramics.

What kind of painting should you choose for a classic living room?
The moment I saw these one-of-a-kind artworks made from ceramics and wood, I knew they were truly exceptional. The carved wooden frames in a golden hue, combined with genuine ceramics fired in Italy, made a huge impression on me…
Indeed, this is not an item for every interior. It certainly requires courage, but above all, careful consideration, as a classic living room is tricky territory…

What kind of painting suits a classic living room? This is a question we often ask ourselves when searching for the right piece of traditional art.
Of course, there is the glamour style, but personally I think it might not work in this case.
Why are Ceramiche Sonda tiles truly one of a kind?
It’s something akin to three-dimensional images, but in the classic sense of the word. The ceramic sculpture was set in and combined with wooden frames of specific dimensions.
The ceramics themselves are multidimensional, which makes them look truly unique on the wall, extending beyond the frames… precisely, beyond the wooden frames as well as the boundaries of architecture and art…
Many of our clients were unaware of the presence and prestige of these artworks. That’s why I decided to place the product on a flat surface and take a few photos. The result is shown in the attached image.

What kind of painting suits a classic living room?
Exactly—which one? In my opinion, a return to the past is definitely the way to go. Landscapes, florals, battles, portraits, and still lifes. So we’re not straying from the generally accepted scheme—traditional, but with a touch of real elegance!
Add to that genuine wooden frames, often in gold and brown tones. That’s my recipe for timeless style.

Once we know which painting to choose for a classic living room, let’s not be afraid to experiment and think outside the box. A great example of this are the paintings by Ceramiche Sonda. Seemingly classic and very neat, yet to me, they are incredibly innovative and exceptionally luxurious.
