Christmas tableware with dominance of gold

It’s mid-November, and although we don’t absolutely feel winter coming on, we’re already thinking about Christmas. Just like for you, for me too this magical time is associated with the warmth of home, a Christmas tree and gifts. But one of the leading roles is played by the festive tableware. It accompanies us throughout the Christmas season, whether we want it or not. And here I have some inspiration for you, breaking the patterns of the Christmas table.

I was very bored with green reindeer, tin drums, colorful plates with a green Christmas tree and gilded pinecones. It was already there – that’s why it’s a plain miscellany. I dreamed up a large Christmas table set, but one with a touch of nonchalance and craziness.

So my inspiration is based on the theme of gold. It is a material that creates luxury, so it is very close to me. Most of the products used are handmade works of functional art. I have been dealing with such products for years, and I promote such manufactures on the Platform Luxury Products.

Christmas tableware – china sets for the whole family

Every multi-generational large family has its own porcelain dinnerware set. It is a material of great merit for table sittings, grand raves, quaint gatherings and magical moments. Porcelain has been creating extraordinary charm for centuries, and is incredibly fun to use.

And I’m not talking about cheap mass-produced products, because it’s a waste of our money for such made products. If you want good quality porcelain you need to look towards manufactories from Italy, Germany and Portugal. This is where the best manufactories are located, making top-quality products for many years.

Christmas tableware has to be representative, so I will show you Porcel brand products. Portuguese porcelain has always been very popular, so this is one of my favorites. Of course, when it comes to porcelain tableware.

My favorite collection with gold is called Belle Epoque

This is a unique and very luxurious tableware for the holidays, consisting of 68 items. The set is dedicated for a family of 12. What captivated me here, the amazing white of Portuguese porcelain correlated with gold inserts a’la marble. Christmas tableware – a duet of porcelain with cutlery

Gold-plated cutlery goes well with this porcelain collection. That’s why I deliberately chose the Delarboulas brand. A manufactory dedicated to designing really offbeat cutlery. Models from the Libellule Or, Contemporain Or, Bambou, Elle and Lui lines will make a wonderful composition with porcelain Belle Epoque.

The French manufactory has been creating real works of functional art for years. I do not like boredom and poor quality products. That’s why these products are really close to me. The author of these beautiful goods, combines good raw materials like pewter and gold, so that they serve us for many years.

And this is not a combination of gold and gold, but a juxtaposition of two very similar themed product lines. Gold here plays the role of decoration, a comma and a distinguishing feature. It’s something that gives meaning to all this tableware, and the holidays are a great opportunity to take out such a noble set.

Never enough gold!

Ok, we continue to combine this one particular set, so we will need gold accessories. There was a lot of white and gold there, so our table is not yet oversaturated to the point of decency. I would like you to meet some of my table friends, just in the convention of gold.

If you already think at this stage that your table will shine, you are wrong. The biggest break in this character will come with the choice of tablecloth. But about that later!

In my inspirations, where holiday tableware is the highlight of food and conversation, accessories also play an important role. Candlesticks go first. On a smaller table, one central 4 or 5 arm large candlestick will suffice.

A large candle holder or 2 small ones?

On the other hand, the smaller ones must host at least two 2 or 3 arm luxury candlesticks. Of course, I chose ones with a gold color to further enhance our table.

There is one very important thing, all additional accessories I choose under the porcelain set. As I mentioned before, it is not a typical baroque roco coco! Therefore, other accessories must be a slalom, between modern and classic. They absolutely cannot be minimalist and designer – that would be a mistake.

I have selected for you candlesticks mainly from Italy, which we have had in our offer for many years. And as I mentioned, they do not represent a strongly antique or modernist style. They will blend perfectly with the whole set.

Glasses, goblets, decanters – product review

The most popular is, of course, glass, but in fact the prestige is created by crystal. It is the one that has been giving solemnity and luxury to Our tables for many years. And it may not be as scarce as it used to be, but today it also has its admirers.

Crystals in the 20th century were more desirable, especially in countries where it was in short supply. Currently, the raw material is an exclusive good. My favorite manufacturer is Arnstad Kristal. German manufactory producing very high quality crystal products.

Heavy crystal – light design

And just a lot of them have gold plated embellishments, so they go perfectly with our whole Christmas table set! It’s going to be a great combo, so I’m adding this brand knowingly.

Arnstad has in its collections glasses or decanters heavily carved and gilded. But I think they will be too demonstrative and heavy. So I selected wares that are more sensual, quaint and light.

While you can talk about lightness with massive crystals, I tried to find a touch of delicacy. Germany has been producing decent crystal products for many years, so all the more reason for this brand to be on our holiday tables.

Christmas tableware – lots of different accessories

We have china, cutlery and candlesticks, so it’s time for the other products. These include containers, or handkerchief holders – I hope, we have not forgotten about this matter. I chose those that are related to the golden color, of course, and somehow correspond to the whole Christmas setting.

Handkerchief holders, or handkerchief rings, are a nice and quite common Christmas decoration, but most are twinned. My suggestion is a very expressive and original products.

And as in other cases, they are neither overly modern nor old-fashioned, because that’s what all our Christmas tableware is. Cheerful, prestigious, a bit classic with a touch of madness!

Salt and pepper shakers – you can’t miss it

Well, just so that the table can be magnificent and complete, we need pepper and salt accessories. Ok, we have it….to choose from and color, without abrasion and unnecessary weak products. Only niche manufactures, giving us the advantage of quality on Christmas tables. Because quality on your tables must and can make a difference!

I deliberately did not choose brass or gold-coated metal here. There’s already a lot of that on Our Table, so we’ll fly again in the direction of porcelain. Christmas tableware must have luxurious salt and pepper shakers in its set.

Portuguese inspirations

I have selected for you the brand Vista Alegra, is a Portuguese manufactory known all over the world. It has a large range of departed designs. So not only classic products, typically porcelain. But also many variations, I think designed by the younger generation.

Some of the merchandise is a break from the style that has been around so far. But while retaining at least a hint of gold. It must still correspond with the whole.

Christmas tableware with an exquisite platter

There is no rose without thorns and no Christmas without cake! This goes without saying, which is why I had to post some good quality platters. They certainly take up a lot of space at the table, however, they are truly wonderful! Most of them are made in Italy, synonymous with luxury and high quality.

Some made of glass, others of crystal will be one of the brightest points on your Christmas table. And it is not an exaggeration when I say that these are very original platters, which can be found in vain at domestic manufacturers.

Italians love beautiful design, this is determined by the location, as well as the mixing of cultures and people. Art from different parts of the world has just found its culmination in the south of Europe. That’s why thousands of manufactories design the most beautiful things to this day.

With or without a cover?

But without straying too far from the topic, I’m posting a couple of platters open, as well as with a lid. Both solutions are perfect! I present examples with gilding, because that is the nature of the whole Christmas set. But I also chose something made of glass alone without gilding, which will match all the parts of the puzzle.

If you look closely, some platters have 80% glass, and for example, the very legs are gilded. It is very important not to gild the entire table. We then choose products that have a gold accent.

And this is a good way to complete an entire Christmas tableware with prestige and style.

Tablecloths, runners and placemats that crown the work of art

In fact, we have most of the products, however, we do not have a Christmas table setting. This is where Italian brand Claudia Barbari comes to the rescue. This designer has specialized for many years, in creating luxury tablecloths.

All of them are made of the highest quality materials, with distinctive rhinestones. The artist puts a lot of handwork into her art, so that the final result is a beautiful tablecloth. We appreciate this, which is why we have been working together for quite a long time.

Italian artist combines different techniques

Claudia also makes amazing plaids and blankets, but that’s a separate topic. She uses cotton, cashmere, wool, silk or, finally, linen for production. These materials give prestige and high quality, so her products hold their prices.

It also offers smaller placemats, runners and handkerchief rings. It’s a wide collection that will allow us to choose something interesting.

I opted for tablecloths with interesting sequins or rhinestones. Because it is an essential part of the whole puzzle in the form of a golden element. A deliberate procedure that will crown the whole work and the Christmas tableware will already be complete. Christmas tableware – summary

I think that there is no need to stuff more products, because Our table is already plump and beautiful. Over-saturating the table for the holidays is a mistake that is increasingly being duplicated. Because, after all, in addition to the above-mentioned items, there are dishes, as well as other accessories.

We must remember not to swamp the table with many products. The best solution, which you often use anyway, is the order. After all, a cake platter, a decanter, a coffee service can ” enter ” the tabletop only later in the feast.

These are simple solutions that will bring us many benefits. The most important thing is that our Christmas tableware should please ourselves. Because, after all, it is WE who are supposed to feel good in our interior with a beautifully decorated table. And this is what I wish for all of you.

Christmas tableware can be enjoyed for years to come, but it must be of high quality. This is an absolute requirement for a decently made set. The most important aspect is that it can serve for many of Our generations.
